Courtesy visit by the EXCO Members & the Director YSU Alumni Association to the VC
The Executive members of the Alumni Association of Yobe State University in company of their Director, Dr. Fatsuma Dada Mohammed paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mala M. Daura in his office. In the visit, the Alumni EXCO presented 3 letters to the Vice Chancellor. One of the letters was a congratulatory letter on his well-deserved appointment as the current Vice Chancellor, the second Letter was his appointment as a grand patron of the Association while the last was on certain requests to solidify the Association.
Responding, the Vice Chancellor welcomed the members of the Alumni and was delighted that the Association has made so much progress. The Professor promised to give them a helping hand and support whenever such needs arise. The Vice Chancellor also appreciated their Director in the Person of Dr. Fatsuma D. Mohammed whom he described as a very hardworking person. He commended the Director for giving the Association a very good foundation. He said being a pioneer officer of the Directorate, the effort put in place is remarkable.

In their company was a prominent member of Alumni who is in the private sector in the person of Mohammed Dauda Gombe, an excellent Ambassador, a role model, who never relied on the government even before graduation. Dauda Gombe is an activist from the start and an employer of Labor. He started an NGO just after graduation and today he has given employment to many people including graduates from YSU. He has under his employment a large number of youths and has been assisting students by giving them life opportunities. The Vice Chancellor appreciated Dauda Gombe and said he is well known to him because they worked closely in the committee on emergency and revival of Education declared by HE Governor Mai Mala Buni.
